A man has died after suffering fatal injuries in what police have described as “a workplace incident”.

It happened beside the B4066 near Berkeley just before 12:00 GMT on Thursday, Gloucestershire Police said.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, which was in attendance alongside paramedics, said the incident involved a “rescue from height”.

The man, in his 20s, died at the scene and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The Health and Safety Executive said it was making inquiries and investigating the cause.
