The Senior Manager, Health and Safety – UK, Europe, and Middle East is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the health and safety programme across the UK, Europe and Middle East regions. The role acts as a strategic partner to business leadership, ensuring alignment with global health and safety strategy, regional legislation and company objectives.
This position sits within Crawford & Company’s Global Compliance Office and reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Global Compliance. The role requires an inclusive and collaborative leader who embeds a proactive safety culture, strong governance frameworks and consistent standards across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, operational oversight, governance and assurance, and culture development. The role involves advising senior leadership, ensuring legal compliance, leading incident investigations, overseeing audits, developing training programmes, managing health and safety performance metrics, and engaging with regulators and external stakeholders. The position is remote-based but requires regional travel for inspections and audits.
