Network Rail is offering an exciting Health & Safety Apprentice opportunity within the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) programme. This role is based in York and supports one of the UK’s largest rail infrastructure projects.
As a Health & Safety Apprentice, you will work within the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to help deliver safe working practices and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Responsibilities include supporting risk assessments, recording and reporting incidents, assisting with investigations, delivering safety briefings and toolbox talks, maintaining documentation for audits and inspections, and working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple sites.
The role offers hands-on experience, structured mentorship, and study support, leading to a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician apprenticeship, with long-term career progression opportunities within Network Rail.
