Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHAssociation).

Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHAssociation) is an independent professional association with international membership and regional chapters worldwide.

We set standards, support, develop and connect our members with resources, guidance, events and training programmes. The Association fosters collaboration, research and information sharing on Occupational safety principles and advocates for changes to match national, regional and global policies to improve Occupational Safety and Health in workplaces.

To be a member of OSHAssociation means you are passionate in our areas of interest regardless of your qualification, colour religion, language and location; we value experienced and skilled individuals who can contribute to “Promoting Safety, Saving Lives.

The OSHAssociation (Occupational Safety and Health Association) is a global organisation that promotes health, safety, security and environmental practices in various industries worldwide.

Their focus is on ensuring that workplaces are safe for workers by advocating for standards that reduce risks and prevent accidents. The organisation provides professional training, international certification, and awareness programmes, with an emphasis on the importance of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) as a vital component of sustainable development for small and big businesses and individuals at all levels.

"WE CARE" Campaign Project

The “WE CARE” campaign by OSHAssociation is centered around reinforcing the commitment to worker well-being, safety, security and environmental protection. This includes the following seven (7) keys

1. WORKPLACE SAFETY:

Promoting a culture of safety in all industries ensuring that workers work in environments that minimise hazards and accidents.

2. HEALTH AWARENESS:

Raising awareness about health issues in the workplace, including physical and mental health, and encouraging proactive health practices, through training and learning engagements

3. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION:

Advocating for environmentally friendly practices that reduce workplace pollution and contribute to sustainability. Giving attention to Climate Change, recycling and renewable energy.

4. TRAINING AND EDUCATION:

Offering programmes that equip organisations and professionals from various organisations with the knowledge and tools to implement effective OSH practices.

5. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION:

Supporting small and big businesses in complying with national and international safety regulations in line with the ISO 45001, ILO, etc and enhancing organisational safety compliance through OSHAssociation engagement strategies.

MEMBERSHIP EMPOWERMENT

 OSHAssociation membership empowers individuals as member and organisations as corporate member to take charge of their safety, co-workers and the environment as a true advocate and ambassadors of the Association.

Our Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHAssociation) are focused on promoting workplace safety, health, security, and environmental sustainability across industries globally. Below are the key aims and objectives:

  • Advocate for the adoption of best practices in workplace safety and health management.
  • Encourage organisations to implement effective and proactive safety measures that minimize risks and prevent accidents.
    • Support the development and review of Occupational Safety and Health policies and regulations at the national levels in various countries where our supports are needed.
  • Create awareness about the importance of workplace safety, health, security and environmental protection.
  • Provide training, workshops, seminars, conferences and certification programmes for individuals to improve their knowledge and skills in OSH practices.
    • Educate employers, employees, and the general public on the impact of occupational hazards and how to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with governments, industries, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to promote global occupational safety and health standards.
    • Build a network of professionals and organizations committed to improving workplace safety and health.
  • We act as a voice for workplace safety and health issues, advocating for stronger policies and regulations that protect workers worldwide.
    • Engage with policymakers and captain of industries to influence legislation and ensure that safety and health considerations are prioritised in government and industry decisions.
  • Promote research and development in occupational safety, health, and environmental management.

  • Provide third party health and safety compliance certification for organisations in line with ISO 45001, ILO, etc.
  • Support workers at all levels with the appropriate professional training and industry certification globally.
    • Support small and medium businesses in achieving compliance with safety regulations through guidance and resources.
  • Strengthen the capacity of our Members in managing health and safety challenges at the workplace.
  • Support ALL safety professionals globally by providing them with the necessary resources, support, and recognition.
    • Promote the professional development of safety practitioners through continuing education and certification programmes.
  • Through our Global Action for Safety (GAS); extending the safety knowledge to the old and young; rich and poor; to ensure Zero Deaths, fatalities and accidents. Particularly in developing countries where workplace safety and health may not be adequately addressed.
    • Focus on sectors with high risks, ensuring that all workers, regardless of location, colour or industry, are protected from occupational hazards and risks.
