The ECG Training Centre has established itself as the leading institution for engineering training and consultancy in the sub-region, serving a diverse range of corporate clients across Ghana and beyond. Our expertise supports key industry players, including the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo), Enclave Power Company (EPC), Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), Bui Power Authority (BPA), Regional Maritime University, and the Ministry of Energy.
Beyond the power sector, we provide specialized training for organizations in mining, telecommunications, and oil & gas, partnering with industry giants such as AngloGold Ashanti, Chirano Mines, Newmont, WEG Africa, Mustek Engineering Ltd, and PK Engineering.
Our impact extends across Africa through international capacity-building programs. With sponsorship from JICA, we have trained professionals from NEDCo (Ghana), Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA – Sierra Leone), National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC – Gambia), Ikeja Electric (Nigeria), Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (Uganda), Kenya Power, Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO), Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO), and Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP). Additionally, through World Bank sponsorship, we delivered capacity-building programs for Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) of Afghanistan.
In 2024 & 2025, the ECG Training Centre had the privilege of hosting the Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) International Technology Exchange Program, further cementing our reputation as a hub for cutting-edge training in power systems. We were also honored with the Outstanding Training and Capacity Building Excellence Award and the Governance and Business Leadership Award, recognizing our unwavering commitment to excellence in technical education and industry development.
