The National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) is the premier government agency responsible for human capacity development in Nigeria’s power sector. Established in March 2009, NAPTIN operates under the Federal Ministry of Power and has evolved from the training arm of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) into a standalone institution with a continental footprint.
NAPTIN’s primary mission is to provide comprehensive training and skill development for personnel across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), including Generation Companies (GenCos), Distribution Companies (DisCos), the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), and regulatory bodies. It also offers training to private sector entities and international partners. Currently have a standing Partnership with the OSHAssociation UK on training of Engineers and personnel within the industry.
