It is indeed both an enormous challenge and a great honour for me to take up the Chairman of OSHAssociation Worldwide, to lead distinguished fellow professionals in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). Looking back over the years since the formation of this organization, we have been active in leaving no stone unturned to promote the development of Occupational Safety and Health through awareness campaigns, seminars, forums, summits, newsletters and publications in different countries.
There is no doubt at all, that profound contributions of international members are tremendous. I shall endeavour to do my humble best not to disappoint on the trust and support given to me. OSHAssociation is an international established professional Association for Occupational Safety, Health, Security and Environmental Professionals from various countries of the world, who put every effort to save workers’ lives and making lives safer at workplaces globally.
Membership in OSHAssociation is the perfect means for health and safety professionals of all levels to expand their knowledge, enrich their expertise and explore future issues, strategies and trends in the industry. Through our comprehensive program on Continues Professional Development certification and annual professional development conferences, etc. Membership in OSHAssociation is tailored to challenge your thinking and provide practical insight into emerging issues that allow you to manage OSH challenges in your organisation.
Putting Occupational Safety and Health at the heart of every organization and the entire world is a huge challenge. We have seen remarkable successes over the past couple of years from countries where we are present now.
Having assumed the role of the Chairman, I consider pushing health and safety into our communities and giving it the first place in our agenda.
We are in the process of establishing sub regional chapters and other subcommittees (i.e. Professional Development, Publicity & Communication, Technical Advisory and External Relations), and each subcommittee will advise the Executive Council on strategic issues and priorities and carry out any function delegated to an Executive Council. We believe the new organisational structure is valuable for addressing the feedbacks collected in our Membership Satisfaction Surveys.
Meanwhile, we will explore more opportunities to support local researches and provide personal and career guidance or mentoring our young members to progress in the health and safety career.
We hope that we can exchange our knowledge and reinforce the connections amongst various nations, regions, branches and groups. Of course, your support and our passion are driving forces to continue our work to uplift and promote health and safety standards in the world, achieving the increasing in number, we should be well-prepared for stepping up Occupational health and safety promotion and uplifting our standard in our regions.
On the other hand, we hope that our website will keep us better connected as a community and we will keep you informed about our upcoming events. We are happy to receive feedbacks and suggestions from you on how to promote safety in your country by working with us passionately.
If you have any enquiry, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Last but not the least, I sincerely hope that we can maintain our continued support from all our international regions and bring our enthusiasm to contribute and participate in furthering the goals of OSHAssociation worldwide, as we have achieved fruitfully in the past couple of years from participating countries.
Wish you the best of luck in the pursuit of your OSH career!
